| ''07'', ''06'' test

| I recently drove an ''06'' and ''07'' back to back. THe ''06'' had only 3000 mi. on it. Any doughts that I may have had were completely gone when I got back in my ''07'' sport. There is no comparing these two vehicles in any catagory. The ''07'' is vastly superior. I suggest anyone do the same test before you put your money down on the old body style. I'm sure you will agree with me. Good luck ! |

After test driving the 07 on several occasions (Sales Manager is a friends of mine), I like my 02 better, in some categories ;) |

| ME too, after testing out the 07, I would take my 06 over that wannabe MDX anyday. The new styling makes me feel like I am in a Nissan Murano or something:( I LOVE my 2006 MDX |

| Seems like a lot of people need to justify their 07 purchase by ragging on the previous models. My wife buys cars on looks alone and is very happy to own an 06...I would prefer the 07 based on engine and luxury ammenities...but it's the wife's car. Plus it puts a lot of green in my pocket. |

It's actually the opposite - more vocal members are ragging on the 07 because they like the looks of the older gen more. There's even a couple of threads on it. I'm just content to cruise on my 300HP SH-AWD beast. |

If you buy strictly off of HP, probably not, but who does that???
The new MDX has much greater feature content and higher quality interior materials. It also handles significantly better and is more refined.
As an '06 Pilot EX-L owner, I can't wait to ditch it for a 2008/2009 MDX. My only wish is that they will add power folding mirrors and a 6-speed auto, but even if they don't I'll still likely buy an MDX. I recently optioned out 6-cylinder models of the Q7 and new X5. They were approx. $10k more when similarly equipped!! The MDX may not look like a bargain next to the previous gen, but in terms of the competition it's still a great deal. |

If I had $10-$20K more to spend, I would've bought a GL Benz. Yeah, the MDX is a better buy and more reliable, but nothing really beats a Benz. 50hp more and all the upgraded ammenities would've been great, but like I said before, some people buy purely based on looks. In all honesty, I would've bought a Pilot (even better buy), but wife wanted the Acura name.
I did give my wife the option to buy an 06 and then trade up later and just take the depreciation hit, but she's made up her mind. |

Is 07 a better vehicle? In the absolute sense and overall I do think so.
Well, it better be a better vehicle with all the redesigns and refinements after so many years of R&A.
I think the competitors have come a long way since the MDX
redefined the LSUV class in 2001. I guess I had much higher expectations for the 07, hoping that once again Acura would be able to do what they did in 2001.
Most likely I would pay more to get an Euro as my next SUV.
It's just me though. I still love my 02 every single day :) |

| I am not saying the ''06'' is not a great vehicle.The ''07'' is just much better. The extra 12k was well worth the price. The short test drive most people experience just cannot tell you how good a vehicle it is. If you spend it you won't regret it . jedi |

| Like they said "TEST drive it" thoroughly before you make cosmetic judgements! I had an 05 which a member has it now......07 is MUCH better than the first gen MDX's no question about it....Until you test drive one for a few hours and really TEST it, looks mean nothing when it comes to this beast ! SH-AWD coupled with Active Damper System, ABS and VSA with sport shift option with a 300 HP VTECH engine..........go figure......;) ;) ;) |
