Just got a call saying the CEL was for a tranny failure.... No rumble noise however, the car has been a little off (couldn't quite put my finger on it).
Anyways, wish me luck on getting some goodwill at ~110kmiles |

Go to the threads re tranny failures and print them out and show them to the manager and say this is a KNOW defect. |

So, the CEL was for the TC and solenoid. Therefore, the recomendation is to replace the solenoid first to see it that fixes the problem. I had the reset the CEL and said I would be back.. Well, the CEL is back on. I guess I will play the game and have them replace the solenoid first (they said it was $40 and is easily replaced).
PS - I also heard that the TLs tranny warranty was just extended again - this time to 110k miles??? |

Ronsully,
Where did you hear this? Was it JUST the TLs or was it the TL, Ody, etc? This would be good news for me. |

| Just closing the loop on this. I managed to get Acura to pay for half... Therefore, my cost was ~$1700 for a new tranny... The deal maker was the warranty I get with the new tranny... 3yrs 36kmiles. |
