Just got a call saying the CEL was for a tranny failure.... No rumble noise however, the car has been a little off (couldn't quite put my finger on it).

Anyways, wish me luck on getting some goodwill at ~110kmiles

Go to the threads re tranny failures and print them out and show them to the manager and say this is a KNOW defect.

So, the CEL was for the TC and solenoid. Therefore, the recomendation is to replace the solenoid first to see it that fixes the problem. I had the reset the CEL and said I would be back.. Well, the CEL is back on. I guess I will play the game and have them replace the solenoid first (they said it was $40 and is easily replaced).

PS - I also heard that the TLs tranny warranty was just extended again - this time to 110k miles???

Ronsully,
Where did you hear this? Was it JUST the TLs or was it the TL, Ody, etc? This would be good news for me.

Just closing the loop on this. I managed to get Acura to pay for half... Therefore, my cost was ~$1700 for a new tranny... The deal maker was the warranty I get with the new tranny... 3yrs 36kmiles.
