This was on the evening news here tonight:
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/ht..._huling20m.html
At least eleven salespeople (including a sales manager) at Huling Brothers in Seattle:
- Sell a fully loaded, undiscounted GMC pickup with the most expensive extended warranty to a mentally ill man. $30k.
- Hearing the man boast about $70k he keeps in his apartment, two salespeople drive him around while two others burglarize his apartment for the cash.
- Four other salespeople, also hoping to get the $70k, visit the man's apartment seeking the now-departed money.
- After the man is committed to a psychiatric ward, one of the empty-handed salesmen visits him in the hospital and convinces him to sign over the vehicle's title to him. Then the salesman drives off in the pickup.
- While the man is in the psychiatric ward, two other salespeople visit the apartment looking for cash. But the man's been evicted. |

Terrible.
Did this guy even have a driver's license ? Usually you have to present one to purchase a car. Legally he didn't have the ability to enter a contract. I'm glad the former owners did the right thing. But I hope they do pursue criminal charges against the employees and they get locked up for a bit. |

| Every time I see news story like this, from mothers sticking their babies into microwaves to fathers killing their kids for breaking their Xbox. The cruelty of humans never ceases to amaze me. Absolutely disgusting. |

OMG I hate Huling Bros! Those people are terrible, but I would NEVER suspect them of something like that. What a sad sad story!
My mom and step father weren't rammed badly on a deal from Huling Bros. They traded in a bad Astro (bought from them) at a huge loss. Then bought a "program" car at more-than-new car price. And to top it off, they were promised many things that they never received. And all this from a family "friend" salesman..........I'd hate to see how they treat strangers. |
