2005 Navi strange behavior when cold - Click HERE for Original Thread

When I park my car outside overnight, the navi behaves strangely when starting up the vehicle in the morning.

Lately, it's been below 30 at night here (central coast of California) and I've been parking the MDX outside so my wife can have the garage. Anyway, when I start the car, the navi screen is completely black; after a little while I get the nag screen, but it's a faded blue instead of the normal blue and there's no button to push to accept the nag. I've tried pushing the other buttons on side of the screen (AC/Info, Map, Cancel, etc.) and sometimes I can get into the Setup screen but half the buttons are disabled. Once, I actually got it to display the map, but it showed where I had started from, not where I currently was, and there were no street names showing up. One time I noticed that all of my Address Book entries had been deleted! After shutting the car off and restarting, everything worked fine (except the address book was still gone).

This behavior is repeatable and happens every time the car has been left outside overnight in cold temps.

I have not yet taken it to the dealer (they're over 30 miles away and I would need to take time off work). Just wanted to find out if anyone else has had this problem and whether the dealer was able to fix it?

Thanks!
