Ran across this on the RL forum. This site has 2007 MDX protection film for the headlights and fog lights. This is cheap insurance IMHO.

I've driven thru California dust storm's on I-5 in the San Jaquin valley (spelling) with tumble weeds blowing across the interstate. In all 8 years of ownership with my Acura's I've never had an issue with the lens on the lights or fog's....I guess it depends on where you live and weather conditions....:1:

I've had that stuff (from those guys) on my headlights and fogs since the car was new. In 145K miles, I've cracked 4 windshields but never had to replace a headlight lens. FWIW, the fogs didn't hold up well. I think its because the lamp is so close to the lens and gets the lens very hot. There's a lot of weird crazing in the plastic, although they haven't discolored or warped. The headlight ones still look perfect after all these years and miles.

I've seen wrecked Honda's and Acura's and NEVER were the headlight lens cracked or broken even though the vehicle was TRASHED! That is my point.......
Fog lens, housing units have been improved. The ones on my 2001 Acura CL were cheap! So many folks complained they upgraded the fogs housing units and lens to equal the head light lens.....I still say its a waste of money....:1:

went to autosports website, and asked them to send me a sample of the xpel. it's freaking stiff plastic. it's so thick, i am afraid if i put it on, it will look ugly. imo, i don't think it's worth it, plus i think it would look bad.

I have similar products on both of my vehicles and you can hardly tell it is there. Very similar to the 3M Clear Bra.

Hey phins2rt. i wanted to get that for my new X, but i was afraid it will look bad. can you let me see pics of how your car is with the clear protection on? i wanted to do the 3m clear bra, but was afraid it will look bad. and i heard that if accidentally get bumped by a car that it will wrinkle up and look bad. so that is why i was hesitant.
