I was searching thur the site and didn't find my info on AutoTrader.
So I thought I'll ask.
Has anyone had experience buying or selling a vehicle on AutoTrader?
I had the most success with Craigslist for selling my Honda Accord but others are so and so.

| I have used autotrader to find a car for my daughter, a 2003 Honda Civic (at a dealer). Also, I sold my BMW 535i to a fireman in Seattle, WA.............I live So. Cal...............so he came a long way. He was targeting So Cal for his BMW.:) |

I botched my last attempt there. Got my car to them for a photo right before the deadline. Then I just got a couple of calls, so I sold it to the first person who came by.
Turned out that they only put it in the online edition that week. It went into the print edition the next week, and I got dozens of calls after I'd already sold the car.
This was a few years ago. The print and online are now two separate companies, and I'm not sure if one ad will appear in both anymore.
Also, I've noticed that they have far more dealer ads than private party these days.
Online, I'd also check out cars.com. |

| Sold my 02 BMW 530i inside a month and my 03 MDX inside 2 weeks. Both were priced at clean book. Highly recommend. Both times payed "list it till sales" price just in case. |
