Greetings. This is my first post on your forum. I don't have an MDX. I do however have a brand new water pump for the 2003 MDX.
A little about me. I am a long time registered member of the acurazine.com forum. I have bought and sold many articles on that site with nothing but positive reviews. My screename on that site is also thinjim. Some of you may be members there, if so speak up as to my credibility.

A little history on how I have the water pump. I bought a complete 2003 mdx short block for the internals to put into my 2003 Acura CL. That short block included the water pump but will not work on my motor because the pulley is narrow compared to the one for my car. Your timing belt that drives the Water Pump is narrower than the CL's.
I have done some legwork on the water pump, and it seems that the part numbers differ from other years. So, the part number for this pump is only for 2003. It's possible it would work on other j35 motors, but that's for me NOT to decide. The part number is 19200-RCA-A01. Here is alink to that part from a Acura dealer website.

Again, this water pump is brand new and has never been used on a working motor. They sell for 96.00 plus shipping and handling from most websites, give or take a few bucks. This is for sale for $75.00. That includes shipping and my paypal fees.

This WP does me no good and is an annoyance sitting in my space. For those of you coming up on a timing belt water pump change, this will save you about 50.00 bucks. It would be good to have for when that day comes up. |
