My wife has a TL and her seat heater seems to be much hotter than mine. It gets warm but not anywhere as hot as her car. Has anybody else experienced this. The 05 MDX has about 19k left on the original warranty..

Thx

I brought my 04 MDX into the dealer for the same problem. They told me that it's under warranty and they have to order a new heater pad for the seat.

Also on my driver's seat the back of the lower seat has a limp where the element is pushing up against it. They told me that it was normal and since I have 50k it is from the leather getting soft. They said this is not covered as its normal. I hate getting something pushed agaisnt my behind while I drive. Any one else have this problem with this?

My seat heater has worked fine for 4.5 years on my 02 MDX. Several weeks ago the seat heater gets so hot (i.e. painfully hot) that you need to turn it off. Has anyone had this problem? I assume I will have to have the heat element in the seat replaced as it must be some sort of shorting or malfunction with the heating element.

My 03 is doing the same thing. The seat is hotter in low position than when it's in high position. Has anyone changed the heating element themselves? Is it a hard job? What is the price of the heating element?

My '03 seat heater gets so hot on one side it has to be turned off!! (Drivers right cheek)

Dealer said its operating normally.

Sometimes the lumbar is warm and the seat is not hot at all.

I'm interested to hear what any solutions are. Heater pad or switch timer?

When on high, the heater is supposed to turn on and off. Perhaps it misses an off cycle.
