I'm exchanging an 04 MDX for an 07 MDX Elite. Should I bother bringing over my auto starter? You figure the elite package would have at least an auto starter. I would swap the DVD package for that.

That depends on what you need.
Do you park the car in the garage?
Also, the heated seats are fairly good and quick
I just got my Elite without a starter. I always park mine in the garage and the heated seats are sufficient. |

My 04 MDX was used and came with it. Not sure I want to spend another 500-600 to get it reinstalled. I do park the car inside 90% of the time anyway. The money is probably better spent on a boomerang security system.
On a side note, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my 1st gen MDX rear cargo cover just fits, it curls up a bit on the outer corners but I can definitely live with it. Oh, and my 25$ Canadian Tire all weather mats do the trick too!
Now the bad news. My rear LCD screen does not work at all. The one feature I could care less for is not working, go figure. I'm sure my dealer will take care of it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the car :2:

Thanks. I didn't realize the models were named differently. Just wondering, are the Canadian models equipped with different tires more suitable to the snowy conditions. That seems to be the one major ding I've seen thus far on the State's models - the inability for SHAWD to handle properly in deep snow, although most reviews attribute it to the all-weather Michelins that are standard. |
