Same here. Checked just now. I knew they were all Michelin first when I got.
All have DOT numbering ending with 4306 means, 43rd week of 2006 when the tires are made. That is also good to know because older tires more than 6 mothns not good to start with like tire buyer tips recommend. |

| I just asked that same question in another thread, before catching this discussion. I was curious since it seems the states' models are getting dinged (primarily due to the Michelins) for their inabiltiy to handle the snow efficiently. |

I think those who want better handling in the snow need to read more about the MDX and understand the design criteria. The VSA / tire combo is there to optimize street handling. So, if you are in a high snow region, you should have a winter set & summer set of tires. Or buy a tire that provides both, then you will have compromised both dry & snow handling. No one tire will be great at everything...wet, dry, snow, comfort, quiet, durability.

Sorry, but tire selection is a pet peeve of mine. One of the most important parts of a vehicle is the tire, yet most drivers put no effort in to studying the options...Except for us MDX drivers of course!!! :D Decide what is important to YOUR driving needs, then research tires options to find what will provide you the optimum performance. If the OEM tires that come with the car don't provide what you seek, don't wait the 40-50-60,000 miles to replace them. I took the stock tires off my Corvette at 4,000 miles and sold them on ebay.
Ok I am getting down off my soapbox. |

Put on those all seasons, huh?
Just kidding. I had an 04 Corvette convertible, and the run-craps could be annoying at times. |
