I went to my local dealership today to get some crush washers for the oil, diff, transmission and some power steering fluid

Heres the breakdown on prices:

Oil crush washer: .53 cents (normal)
Diff fill crush washer: $1.07 (normal)
Diff drain crush washer: $3.51 (REDICULOUS HIGH)
Transmission drain crush washer: $6.77 (WTF HIGH)
Power steering fluid: $6.15 (great price)

I read somewhere on here that other people paid only $1.55 for Diff drain washers, .46cents for Diff fill washers....what a difference in price, my local Acura dealer doubles that!!!

needless to say im taking all the washers back except for the oil and I'll just buy them online from the other Acura dealer!

My local Acura dealership is a rip-off...another rip off: I also wanted to get a extra key programmed today and they said its $175 and I have to buy the key from them which would be another $35 + programming $175..but I told them I bought my extra key from another Acura dealer online and was only $20

so I said why cant you just program the key...."well you didnt buy it from us"...so I said ok, well another Acura dealer about 30mins away said they only charge $90 to program a key and I can bring any key I wanted...I expected them to at least come down and price match the other Acura dealer but their response was "well go to that dealer then, we charge what we charge"

I was heated, I wasnt rude or anything but I think because I was young they treated me like that!! B.S. service!!!!

I just wanted to express my frustration w/ this Acura dealer...not quality at all and the prices were just rediculous

I didnt really look at the receipt because I though maybe the power steering fluid was a little expensive since it was Acura brand, and I though maybe it was $10-$12 and plus I was late on getting to my appointment today....soooooo thats it, Im dont venting LOL :2:

Does everyone here ONLY use washers purchased from their Acura dealer or do yall use aftermarket crush washers??? I cant see paying $3+ and $6+ for 2 little washers!!

Try your local Honda dealer. They may be cheaper.

I just purchased the same crush washers from my local Honda dealer. Cost were:
14mm: 22 cents.,
20mm: 61 cents ,
18mm: $ 1.98 .

I never buy misc. oil/washers from an Acura dealer.

The transmission drain crush washer for $ 6.77 had to be an error for a part number or something???
