I think he means pics taken without a fisheye lense :)
I think your X is very nice and spotless! How do you keep it so clean?!
So are you a Nikon or a Canon guy? That's about a $1500 lense either way. . . . .ouch! I have been looking at the Nikon lense but haven't bit the bullet yeat and gotten one. I want to get the 12-24 mm wide angle zoom first :) |

Half those photos are fisheye and the other half are without. Photos were taken with Nikon D70. The fisheye is a 10mm Nikon lens and was about $600. That camera is amazing and well worth the cost. In fact, for the $1500 that you mentioned, I got the camera body, a 18-70 lens and a 70-300 lens (mm are approximate, i'm not 100% sure without looking). The fisheye was added later. All told, the investment was less than $2K. I think I've saved that in film and printing already. :)
Thanks for the props on the X. I took those photos because the dealer had just fully detailed it for me. They did a nice job! |

Cool! I thought the Nikon 10 mm fishey was more. that's good to know. I recently bought a D200 (I should say I ordered it last January and didn't get it until last May). Still on the steep part of the learning curve :) It's my first SLR. The pics in my gallery are taken wiht my D200. The darker one is a 2" exposure in almost complete darkness with my 30 mm f 1.4 lense on a tripod. The others are taken with my 18-200 mm VR f 3.5 handheld.
Have you seen the D80? It is almost everything my D200 is for less than $1000!
Sorry to hijack this post :4: |

If you look at the website, there are numerous photos without the fishy. www.vanharte.net/mdx
that look was JUST after a detail by the dealer too, so i can't say its always THAT clean. although weather in socal has been pretty sweet and the X is always garage kepts, so it's look pretty nice most of the time. :) |
