One thing I find annoying are all the scuff marks on the side of the doors as people get in and out of the vehicle. Does anyone know of some plastic covers to prevent that from happening? Either that or I'll have to get my passengers to take off their shoes before getting in. :p

The other thing I've noticed is the left side of the driver's seat is starting to crease (looks like stretch marks). It gets really bad after a few years. I purchased a used 2004 and hated it. I've been making a conscious effort to drop myself into the seat instead of sliding in.

The scuff marks you are describing are all normal wear and tear on any vehicle, not just the MDX. Just tell your passengers to be more careful when getting in and out of your MDX. To clean the scuff marks, just spray on some Simple Green and wipe them off. A little vinyl conditioner will help keep the plastic and vinyl looking new. By the looks of your floor mats, you should seriously consider some WeatherTech Floor Mats or Husky Floor Liners. As far as the leather seats go, that's what leather seats look like over time. My MDX is 2002 and has the same "character lines." (With my high school high jumping training, I prefer to do a Western Roll into the front seat, thus missing the left side driver's seat padded area altogether.) You can apply leather conditioner to the seats. It helps. Other than that, just enjoy your ride.:4:

If you are that sensitive to what happens when people get in and out of your vehicle then just do not carry any passengers. As my son transfers from his wheelchair it is particularily hard on the door liner. However, I like having him ride with me.

Thanks for the leather treatment tips Excalibur. I most certainly will enjoy it. Who knew a simple service visit would turn into this. It's my first new car since 1996. It was just so new with 21Km on the odometer and all.. oh well nothing stays perfect for long. Now I'm just rambling.

The miata is for the wife :D
