it doesn't seem like many people are having problems with their x's so far but i've been having some quality issues. here's a list:
1. loose heat shield and mufflers - had to take into dealer twice to fix
2. missing jackbar - dealer had to order a new one
3. front driver side window rattling/tapping - dealer cleaned the weather channel and reapplied silicon grease. better but the rattle is still there.
4. rear passenger door handle loose - dealer took the door panel off and tightened the bolts to door handle.
5. center speaker vibrating - dealer replaced speaker
6. now my front passenger and rear passenger windows are rattling/vibrating - sigh:(
anyone else having issues? the service department tells me that my x has been the only one having these issues. i think i must have gotten a lemon. i also called acura client services and they really can't do much except to document the issues.
so far i love the car but all these quality issues are really bugging me. not to mention the window rattle/vibration which are VERY annoying. it doesn't help that the dealer says the can't completely fix (fixes are temporary) it since it's an "engineering defect." |

Sounds like my 2003 - lots of annoying minor problems. They had to put foam inside the upper channels so the windows would not be loose and rattle. |

| Hmmm...you've got a lot of issues in your brand new X. How many mile you accumulated so far? I got 2400, and I don't see that issues so far. |

| Have not had those issues, but I'm think there may be a rattle somewhere in the right rear. Other than that, pretty happy with the car. Does anyone think the front passenger seat does not heat up that well? May have the dealer look at that. |

Haven't noticed anything on your list so far.
The only warning I'd give to anyone is to watch the backs of your 3rd row seats when flipping them up from the down (flat) position. The first time I grabbed the handle and pulled it back, it must have wracked just slightly enough to catch the rear cargo compartment, which subsequently bent up the rear corner of the seat back. Since it's only fabric covered pressboard, there was no coming back from that. Acura fixed the problem with no questions asked, and now I'm more conscience to hold down that same corner to make sure it doesn't catch again. |

i've put 3400 miles on the car since my purchase in mid november.
i've been to the dealer so many times, i'm now a familiar face with the service department... kinda sad. |

| No problems with the MDx yet, but my Lexus RX330 was a horror story...the 1st 6 months was one problem after another. No matter what you buy you can have issues. I have only had two cars in the last 20 years that were never in for warranty work...1995 Maxima & the 2001 Corvette that I currently own. The worse cars...two Lincolns, both early '90's models. |

| I have 2900+ miles on my 07 X Sport. The only problem I have had with mine is the gas cover door not working properly (discussed on other threads on this site). Otherwise, no major problems, rattles, or anything else :) |

I hear some rattle now and then, thought it comes from child seat I put in. May be winodws. Will get them checked at next service. Not an issue now!
Also speaker seems to rattle/have noise? What do you mean by vibrating? same ? noise/rattle?

I've had a few issues myself (Sports/Tech):
#1 My Horn:
It came about one afternoon when I was leaving lunch. I went to make a right turn and the horn went off. The rest of the afternoon, any time I made a 90-degree turn to the right, the horn would just blare away (corrected by a bump to the horn). The problem seemed to just go away for 3 weeks and then it came back with a fury a week ago (nothing like parking a car at a nice restaurant with your horn going off every time you make a turn).
It took the dealer a couple of days to recreate the problem; but it came down to a problem with the horn's wiring harness.
#2 Rattling speakers:
So far, they have insulated the mount (and wiring) on the rear driver side speaker (upper) and fixed a mounting clip on the rear (driver side) door speaker.
When I picked it up from the dealer on Thursday, I turned right back around and made them listen to the rattling that I now have in my doors during mid-volume bass tones (Try Tracy Chapman's "Give me one reason" for a nice rattling effect).
I decided to take it home for the weekend to see if there any other issues. During the ride home, I continued to notice more and more rattling through a variety of sounds and volumes. The worse of which comes with XM talk radio on the front center and tweeter speakers.
I'm planning on bring it back this week and will be leaving it with them until they can work out all the kinks. It's dang near maddening at this point. I seem to hear it all the time now.
It seems to be worse when it's cold out; but I can get some kind of rattling effect in almost any climate condition.
I'm kind of curious to see who else has seen the same problem and under what conditions. |

| that's the same problem i had with my center speaker. when i listened to xm talk radio, the speaker/speaker cover would vibrate. it would go away when i put my hand on the speaker cover. dealer replace the center speaker and the speaker cover. |

Knocking on wood as I write this, but I've had no problems with my sport version thus far--about 45 days and 1700 miles.
Regarding the post abut the passenger seat heating slowly--only the seat bottom will heat up--the seat back has an air bag sensor that prevents this part from being heated. |

It was a great truck except for the gas mileage. The Titan is better than anything Dodge, GMC, or Ford put out. It didn't have first year vehicle problems like my 2001 MDX had. I would still have it if it wasn't for the gas mileage, and the 2007 MDX. :) |
