wondering if there is supposed to be any difference in sound quality when playing a data dvd (mp3 format) in the cd player as opposed to the dvd player? and advantage or disadvantage to using either player?

TIA

there shouldn't be a difference. the quality comes from the original compression of the file, not the player.

No difference here. Love the audio system and quality of sound!

I'm burning all my mp3's to DVD's now !
YEAH !!!

The only difference can be and this will depend on the burning software that converts the mp3's to audio format(wav) when burning audio cd's. Some of them may do a better job than others.

I would ensure that the mp3's have the bit rate of at least 192kbps.
