I really enjoy this SUV. We all have stressful jobs; we couldn't afford MDX's if we did not toil a little.
I look forward to driving home. I get in the MDX, shut the door, start the motor purring, and listen to some great XM tunes. I pull away and the ride is magical. Here come the on ramp, click Sport mode and get on the gas all the same time listening to the tunes.
On the superslab, click Comfort and be comfortable on the way home.
Sometimes, I just need quiet, the MDX delivers comfortable solitude. Ahhh!
My X is my Sanctuary from the craziness of the day.
Can anyone relate? |

| Acura must have done something right. Don't forget to audition the ELS surround system with a DVD-A while you're at it. It may not be a life-changing experience, but it's pretty close. :D |

You are accurately describing the feeling of millions of drivers everyday as they leave work. Just remember the "big love affair" that drivers have with their vehicles. Those minutes of peace and solitude that we have in our vehicles are sometimes the only minutes of that type that we get all day!!!

Like that one candy bar commercial, everyone deserves a 5 minute vacation......or however long your commute is :)
At times in your life when you really need it, the right vehicle can provide an opportunity to refocus yourself. I've always said that you have to be able to take your job off like a jacket at the end of a day, and put it on when you return. It's not always easy, but I think our daily commute helps us to keep that dynamic.
For me on the way to work, it's newsradio, coffee, and a 15 minute leisurely 35 mph drive down Harlem Road. On the way home, it's music (unless the weather's ugly, then it's back to newsradio), and a can of Diet Pepsi.
One of these days I'll improve my choice of commuter vehicle ;) |

Yes, and how sweet it is!
Especially with the cool, soothing music of Diana Krall, whose audio DVD sounds like perfection courtesy of the ELS surround system. |

| I can totally relate! I just got mine almost from now and I'm totally loving it. I used to hate driving but now I look forward to going home even in the crazy Los Angeles traffic. The sound system is magical inside the cabin of the X! |

You're not the only one !!
The first night (Friday night) I brought the MDX home I stayed inside the car until 4 am.... Went to bed... got up at 7 am...back in the car... drove around, got a coffee and came home, sat in the car for a few more hours.... My wife got up and didn't know where I was. She came in the garage and told me I'm crazy and totally lost it.
YEAH !!!
Well, the same story repeated next night ...... :)
I can't wait to drive the car every day !!!! |

| I'm awaiting delivery on my sport/ent due next week. I have a BMW 750il (v12) that has double thick glass and triple door seals and is extemely quite inside. It has a great DSP stereo system that produces a psuedo surround effect of sorts and I have upgraded the rear deck subs.It sounds incredible and has been my sanctuary. I have listened to Stings Brand New Day DVD-A at home (a rare occasion as the system is in my living room and I was alone and could crank it a little) and it is breathtaking. I ordered the X six weeks ago and needless to say, these last few days are not going by fast enough. |

My '07 base model is actually the wife's car (I have a 2005 TL), but I love driving it. In fact, I fill it up every weekend just to have a chance to drive it. My wife has never put gas in it!
This is hands down the best car I have ever owned. It is the first Japanese car I have ever owned that felt German.
When it comes time to retire the TL, I'm going to give a hard look to an MDX with the Sport package. |
