I am installing a wood grain wheel
and I got everything moved over but when I took off the leather wheel I moved the cable reel
so on the instructions Acura says to turn the reel clockwise until it stops...well theres no EXACT stop...its by tention.
so my question is do I turn the hell out of the reel until I physically cant turn it anymore
need some help ASAP!!!! |

Does this help?
Scanning through instructions, it looks like you have to turn the cable reel until it will no longer go. |

I have the exact same instructions
but I cannot explain what I mean unless youve felt the tentsion in the reel itself
I can spin the reel clockwise and it sort of stops BUT because it uses tenstion I can turn it alot more but I didnt want to use too much force in fear of breaking the reel
so after posting last night..I just turned it clockwise and a little harder..but not too much and they spun it back counter-clockwise 2 1/2 turns
BTW..the directions included w/ the wheel say 2 turns back counter-clockwise but my shop manual says 2 1/2...and it is 2 1/2
tested it out and it worked fine...and the airbag didnt even explode in my face :p
thanks for the help though I DO appreciate it!!!!! |
