I am a proud and first time owner of Honda automobile and I don't regret having made the switch from Toyota/Lexus products.
I have a Canadian steel blue metallic 2007 Acura MDX /Tech.
With the weather we have in Montreal, it is very hard to keep vehicles shiny and clean. We get salt, dirt and even worse...rocks.
While I was driving yesterday on the highway, a piece of rock flew straight onto my windshield, and it made an enormous "PLAAAKKK" sound, I originally thought a speaker blew, but couldn't be that loud.
Later in the day, I saw a half-inch mark on the windshield which to my untrained eyes appeared to be a crack. I called a windshield repair shop and scheduled an appointment for repair.
When I took my MDX there, the technician said nothing could be done to it, because it wasn't a crack at all, the windshield laminate took the brunt of the impact, but the rock left a scratch mark on the windshield, nothing else.
They also told me nothing else can be done to fix that scratch on the laminate.
Well...at least they didn't charge me anything for the inspection. |
