I have brand new 17'' Michelins X-Ice I would like to use on my MDX. tire diameter is only 3% smaller than the ones it comes with(215/65R17).
Anybody knows if the brakes and rotors will fit within 17'' of clearance?

A member here has used Ridgeline wheels for his winter tires. I am not sure on the size but they may be 17s. Do a search on Ridgeline and you should be able to find it. |

Ridgeline 17" rims will definitely clear the brakes and rotors on an 07 MDX, see my post on my winters.
Running 235/65/17 snows which are only 0.02" off the stock 255/55/18 size
you'll need new lug nuts with the ridgeline rims |
