Thought I'd share the first of what should be a couple of pics on our journey to So. Lake Tahoe for the long weekend.

Everyone enjoy out there and be safe!

I'd be curious to know how many people have both generation 1 and generation 2 MDXs. I'm one of them!

sweet! i'm going to be at tahoe next weekend. which resort are you going to? it's going to be my first time up there, do you have any recommendations as far as ski resorts (for intermediate snowboarders) or what to do there at night?

I am sorry to report there is no snow on the roads in South Lake Tahoe. We didn't drive up to any ski resorts, I guess we could of driven on some snow there. It was my first long trip in the X, it was very comfortable. I guess I will have to wait until next year for the snow test.

I did discover that the XM reception is worse than Sirius. I lost reception in areas where I previously recieved Sirius reception. I guess their sattellites could be in different locations.

The X says it got 24.2 miles per gallon. I like that for only 600 miles on the X. I was lucky if I got 16 mpg in my last vehicle.

I like the manual shift mode.

weather.com says it's going to be sunny and 66 degrees here in Sacramento on Monday. That's gonna be my Zaino day.

I started Z'ing mine last night. I used the PC Porter to apply Z-2 after a Z-7 wash and electric turbo blow dry machine.....Came out nice....
More shots in "detailing" under "Reflections":1:

P.S. The first two days I spent "sanding" and " re-painting" the Pitts and Spitts smoker....What a PITA ! Then to the X hand washed, hand buffed...I'm smoked out......:1:

fabvsix: that looks good. I actually didn't get to mine this weekend. I went to Zaino our new 325i but it's already got water spots. Now I need to order the clay bar and start there first. We did get a couple 100% cotton bath towels. I'll take lots of pictures before and after and post when I am done.

long awaited update: just got back from the lake. we stayed at the Lake Village in Stateline, NV--very close to the casinos. we typically go to the south shore, as it's got the best of both worlds: 'kids' can play during the day on the mountains, and 'adults' can play at nite.... obviously, it's Heavenly where we go due to the proximity....

anyhow, here are some pics from our trip:

btw, there were some pretty crappy conditions on friday and saturday--no new snow to report, and it was freakin' hot! it was like spring skiing.

sunday was a little better, as there was intermittent snow throughout the day, and the temperature dropped a bit.

this one was taken early this morning at Cave Rock State Park. just dusted off the overnite snow, and drove down the road.

last note: there were a ton of MDX's on the road! last nite at the intersection of Rt 50 and Rt 207, including myself, there were 5 MDX's waiting at the light! fortunately, i was the only Gen II :p

Saw one Audi Q7, and couple of the 07 BMW X5's, and that's about all worth mentioning....
