Two things that happened to me just would like to pass along since I have gotten good info from here.
1. The rear bumper paint gets a little softer when it gets hot (for some of you that wound be a problem for a while). Here is sunny S. FL. I was loading some stuff in the back and my laptop bag, which has small hard rubber feet on the bottom of the bag, shifted off my shoulder and hit the painted part on top. Put two small nicks of paint right down to the black part and a scratch. Luckily they are very small and a dab of touch up paint and you will not notice it. I felt the paint and it was softer (from sitting in the sub) then when I washed it in the morning. Maybe Acura will come up with a bumper protector for the top.
2. If you plan on getting both the body side moldings and the door edge guards, you can't. The instructions say that you cannot install the door edge guards if you have the body side moldings. It looks like the front door edge guards would interfer with the moldings on the rear door when opening the rear doors. I would go with the moldings and just buy clear ones from Discount Auto or something where you can trim them around the moldings. |

well i bought my X during the winter time, and i haven't experienced it yet. but thanks for the info on the paint. as far as the second part goes. you basically have to install the door edge guards first and give a day or two to stick nice and then install the BSM's. coz, if you do the BSM's first, then your door edge guards won't fit. in snuggly, it will stick out at the point where your BSM's are closer to the edge of the door. |

| I did the BSM's first because I did not want and dings. I suppose I can live without the door edge guards or just get some clear or black ones. |

It more likely has to do with the paint being fresh AND hot, I think they usually advise you don't detail your car for some time.
