Hi,
I am new owner of 03 MDX.
The car is in excellent shape.
After several short trips (20 miles or less) I have noticed one problem.
The cruise control 'Set' button on the steering wheel works intermittently.
I turn on the Cruise button on the dash with light.
Then I press the 'Set' button on steering wheel, some time it engages the cruise other times it does not.
If it does not then it simply will not engage till next re-start.
Even when it works I have to press hard at inner corner (close to cancel button).
All other steering wheel controls work fine (radio, cruise-Accel etc.)
Only other odd thing I noticed whas Cancel button does not dis-engage the cruise (break padel does). If I press UP/Down on the cancel button it tends to increase the speed.
Looks like switch problem. How hard it is to replace the switch?
Have others seen this problem? What was the fix?
This car is out of warantee.
Looks like switch assembly is $72.

I did not do anything.
It seems temparature related.
The problem dis appeared in summer months.
I will have to see if it re-appears this winter.

| My buttons on the steering wheel appear to have no response. I will let you know what I find as well. I had other issues in the past with the stereo controls on the steering wheel. Acura did fix this issue due to 'dimpling' some contacts. |
