Got a Black 07 Sport today. First hundred miles has been very impressive. Ride and handling are superb, noise level is way down (from 05 w/37K miles on X Terrains). Power out the wazoo. Pretty good deal, too.
Don't like the stereo as much as the improved stereo on my 05. May have to upgrade. Need day-night mirror badly.
Did you know that the hood on the 07 is aluminum? Tow limit is up to 5,000 lbs?

By the way, did you know that Pat Riley actually holds a trademark for the term “three-peat?” In 1988, when the Lakers were poised to become the first team to clinch 3 straight NBA titles since the Celtics pulled off an incredible string of 8 consecutive championships from 1959 to 1966, Riley trademarked the term through Riles & Co., his corporate entity. Though the Pistons went on to sweep the Lakers in the 1989 NBA finals, Riley later profited on his trademark when the Chicago Bulls accomplished the feat twice.

Just a little trivia in honor of your three-peat!

Congrats. I took the '04 in for its 45K service today and test drove the '07. I asked them to make me an offer I couldn't refuse - it could happen:cool: :1: We could be a three-peat as well!

You're on that slippery slope. It looks like $2.5K-$3K is getting to be the discount level. We'll be waiting for your color choice.

If I got a legit trade offer AND $3K off we'll be looking at color samples

msu79gt82, I remember the phenomenal trade you got on your '01 back when you traded it in on the '04, but I'm thinking times have changed.

The best offer I got on my 3 year old 2003 Sagebrush/Nav with 50,000 miles back in July was $20,000, and that was after shopping it around to 4 Chicago dealers, with trades ranging from just under $19,000 and up to $20,000.

On the flip side though, at the time they were giving away the 2006's, and I was able to pick up the 2006 for under invoice (and $5000 less than the MSRP I paid for on the 2003)

Who knows how the 2007's has affected the trades of the 2001-2006 design, too. (?)

Well times sure have changed; I talked to them today and they offered me $22,000 for our '04 :( We got $27K three years ago for the old '01 at about the same mileage mark

Another way to look at it is between 2001-2004, discounts were little to none.

The fact that I was able to buy my 43,000 dollar-something 2006 MDX for $5000 LESS than what I paid for my 2003 has got to have some effect on the trade-in values of the 2001-2006 design.

Couple that with much stronger competition and a waining SUV market compared to a couple years ago, it's bound to make the market work less in our favor.

I love my MDXs, but lets face it, it's no longer the SUV one has to wait four months to get or pay $2000 in forced added accessories (if one was so lucky  )
