I noticed this a few times now. The first few times I thought that it was something I did but after careful investigation it's not me...
Here is what happens.
I park the X inside the garage most of the time and I never lock it.
Sometimes I go in the garage, open the passenger side to get something I forgot, whatever... after about 5-10 seconds I hear the cd making some whizzing noises and it ejects the cd/dvd (from the top - 6 cd part). This happens without touching anything, without inserting the key, just when the passenger door is opened.
The red led (anti-theft) is flashing red - I guess this is normal.
Any of you experience this?
It happens to me most of the time but only if I open the passenger door a few hours later.
I tried right after I park the car but it doesn't happen. Only after some time...
Park the car...few hours later open the passenger door... here you go.. is this what you're looking for?... NO... then it reloads by itself...
Either ghosts or the X is trying to talk to me........
  :1:  |

Mine is parked in a carport so I am locking with the fob. I am unlocking with the fob and opening the drivers door.
It appears to happen when I have last used XM. So far I have only used XM and the cd/dvd modes. I need to verify this happens when the last mode was cd/dvd and the X is powered off.
My X is the Technology Package. What is yours? |

My X is the Elite canadian version which is the Tech+Ent.
You know, I never actually paid attention to the last mode used when this happens (xm, cd, etc). |

| It would also be interesting what it would do if we took out the disk it ejected. Would it then eject the next one? I have all 6 slots filled. I'm gonna try that the next time it acts up. |

| I actually tried that once. I removed the disk it ejected but that's it. It didn't eject the rest. |

Additional data:
This morning when I went out to the MDX. It had been in the carport and locked all night long. I unlocked it with the fob. But I waited and did not open the door right away. After about 20 seconds the CD ejected. The last thing I listened to was the XM and that's what started up when I got in and turned on the X. |

Had vehicle for 2 days and noticed that. I took it to the dealership and they had it for a full week...called Acura Tech...did a lot of radio testing and resets...determined it was a bad radio.
I got home last night with the entire tech/entertainment package radio replaced and this morning...wrrrrrr...CD comes on when I unlocked the door!
AGGGHHHHH!!!!
Anyone know what is causing this? Sometimes it takes 4-8 hours to happen, other times it will happen in 15 minutes. Very aggrivating when you are into an audio book and have to navigate all the way back to where you were. |

Ours does this too and I can reproduce the problem.
Here's what I do to make it happen:
- shut off car, close doors but don't lock (in garage)
- wait until overhead courtesy light turns off in the MDX
- open passenger door
- CD ejects
I haven't found it sensitive to the audio mode at the time the car is turned off. I also haven't been able to get it to do it as predictably when the drivers door is opened first or when the car is locked.
We hardly ever lock the car doors in the garage and we listen to CDs alot - unfortunately these days more the first track than most others. It's really annoying when you stop quickly for an errand and want to hop back in the car at the point you left off listening to a CD - back to the beginning!
I haven't gotten around to bringing it back to the dealer. I called and of course they'd never heard of it before. Not encouraging that entire units are being replaced and it's still doing it.
