I never liked the looks of the x5, but requested a brochure and it got a nice little make-over. I know it's priced a lot more (high 60's if you configure all the options) than the MDX, but it sure is a nice BMW. The projection display also seems to set it apart from other vehicles.

| The sport side of the SUV equation is very well represented in the BMW. It's the utility that I have a problem with (too small). Not to mention reliability. YMMV. |

Liked the X5 if not for it's price. The 3.0 seems to be under-powered while going up to the 4 would mean big bucks.
The 3rd row seats are pretty close to useless if intention is to carry adult passengers.

| Great BMW handling, but ride was really rough compared to the X with magnetic dampers. The middle row bench was also really flat and had no thigh support. Can you believe that BMW charges money to get a metallic color on the X5? :bsflag: |
