Just bought a new 2007 base MDX, pearl white, for my wife last weekend. Have had several Hondas over the years, but this is the first Acura. Tested the BMW X5, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Envoy and GMC Yukon. The big GM's are very nice, but not a great car for my wife to run around town in...and they are just too big for her taste. The smaller GMC's just seemed a little boring. The BMW was pretty nice....but there is no way I am paying extra for leather seats, seat heaters, and auto transmission on a car that costs that much. The Acura dealer gave me about 2 grand over KBB trade in value for my trade and then discounted the MDX another 2 grand. A similarly equipped BMW would have been about 20 grand more... NO WAY! Plus, I actually like the Acura better. Great vehicle so far at a great price. I then got on line and found a couple of places that sell genuine Acura accessories at discounted prices..... and have now ordered body side moldings, running boards, fender well moldings, all weather mats, rear cargo mat, front hood deflector and auto dimming mirror. Saved a ton of cash ordering on line and installing myself. That will give me a few weekend projects. After that stuff is on, I will likely order the back-up sensor system too.
Bottom line is.....we really like this vehicle and highly recommend it. The feel of quality is outstanding. Handling and performance are both great. Interior finish and materials very much remind me of the interior of a private business jet. Could not be more pleased. |

| I know I said the MDX was my wife's. If this thing keeps growing on me, I might try to trade her for my 07 LS2 Vette! I really do enjoy driving the MDX...... and like I said, my daily driver is an 07 Corvette. I am just amazed at how well this thing handles for an SUV. |

Be careful...my wife drives both the MDX and the Corvette. The MDX really does handle extremely well. |
