The airbags helped alot. All just bruises on me. The car ended up laying on the drivers side.

Sorry to hear about your wreck. Glad you’re OK and that the airbags helped out. Be sure to get your hearing checked if you begin to notice signs of any hearing loss, which often occurs following the deployment of airbags in an accident.

In addition to your bruises, you’re probably still a little shaken up by all of this, so please take care of yourself. I hope everything will work out for you soon.

gkorsgard,
That was a very bad crash if you did a half roll.
What happened? Speed? Road conditions?
Did all six airbags "deploy"?
gkorsgard
Yes, All six bags deployed. They had to break open the sunroof to get me out. But all I have are sores. My chest is still pretty bruised from the airbag. I am blessed to be alive.
How do I upload a pic and I will do it.

Here are instructions for adding attachments.

Glad to hear you are okay. To roll and only be a little sore is amazing.

Sorry to hear about your accident. As a physician, I know how important a safe vehicle is. Better to have a bruise on your chest than a bruise on your heart (aka cardiac contusion). Also, acute deceleration injuries are often fatal. I once saw a woman die that was in an accident where she struck the steering wheel, the force of which tore her aorta. She bled out right in front of me. Even a level one trauma transfuser has a hard time keeping up with that kind of blood loss. You are lucky to have been in a vehicle equipped with so many safety features! Glad you're OK :)

I also feel your pain. . . .I crashed my 02 X about 4 months after I bought it. It wasn't a particularly bad accident and the air bags did not deploy, but it took about a year to get the vehicle repaired to my satisfaction. Wow, I can't imagine the cost just of those 6 airbags. . . ..that's got to be $12,000 to $15,000 just in air bags. Does anyone know the cost of replacing those? A lot of vehicles end up being totaled just due to the cost of the air bags.

I too am glad it took care of you and your family but would love to see the "outer shell" of the X with your decription of several roll overs.....The shell to me seems to be like a tin can wrapped around a strong cage if you will.....No pun as I have the 07 X and it seems you can put your finger thru the sheet metal.........My 04 RL is SOLID compared to the 07 MDX.....
