We were offered $700 off MSRP on an aspen pearl/parchment tech/ent from an Atlanta dealer. The car is supposed to be available later this week. We'll check around with other local dealers, but does anyone here have thoughts on this offer?
Also, any thoughts on color choice for upper-30's urban mom? Would the aspen pearl be hard to keep clean? I've seen everything but the steel blue, red, and billet silver in person. I like the black but am a bit tired of my hard-to-keep-clean current black Volvo sedan. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the masculine-looking MDX grille; so I'm looking for something that would make it more feminine, more like the cuter-looking (to me) BMW or Volvo SUvs.
Thank you! |

sweetandrew,
Of the colors you mentioned, Aspen White Pearl would be the easiest color to keep clean.:4: |

I closely inspected the aspen white pearl/parchment before buying my X. It’s a great choice for a 30-something urban mom who wants to soften the MDX's look and not spend every waking moment keeping it clean. I also think you can get a better price. Have you checked out the “Dollars and Sense” forum for ideas on negotiating the best deal? |

I think that the Aspen Pearl is a great color!!! Doesn't matter what make or model vehicle, or gender or age of buyer.

| I bought from Nalley in ATL and they were singing the MSRP song the whole time. You can get a better deal, just tell them that you will check with Jackson Acura, and they will change thier tune. |

| I just bought one a week ago in Los Angeles and seems like the dealerships started off negotiations at $1500 off MSRP for Tech/Ent package. I ended up getting it for around $2500 off MSRP. But I saw quite a few people on this board getting better deals... |

| I got about 2500 off MSRP with the tech package. If you cant work the price. work on the %. That will help plenty depending on your DP. On presidents day weekend they were offering 2.9%. I should have waited a month.:1pat: OH wells! |

I agree. I looked at the aspen white pearl a long time before I finally decided on the formal black. |

I chose Aspen White pearl as well. I've owned 2 cars in this type of color and I feel it does look clean, and a bit unique. (I'm that suburban mom previous poster spoke of) ':)'
I'm picking mine up tomorrow. I am down to $300 over invoice, I have 2 dealers trying to get me to buy, because it's in stock! I'd try to get them to go from invoice up, rather than off of invoice, and call a 2nd dealer to match/beat it.

I saw that same deal, but it was for everything BUT the MDX. Are you sure that was for MDX? If so, i bet they would have made it up by charging more for your vehichle, so don't beat yourself up!
Enjoy your ride.

The pearl is nice. I think you can get a better deal than that though. I got the silver sport/ent at $4000 off MSRP/ $500 over invoice.
I posted comments on NewMDX4Marti's thread with some tips.

NewMDX4Marti - Congrats on the new car! I can tell you are excited. All the additional features on this car has been so overwhelmingly awesome, it's got so much high tech stuff in it I never expected it to have. I still haven't had the time to figure out everything on it yet. But everyday has been a new wonderful surprise so far. |
