Recently added #3 and it's been about 2 months already. This rugrat cannot sleep through the night. She usually wakes up at around 12 midnight and 3-4 a.m.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, get use to it. Since its your 3rd one, you should be immune to it.

Have you tried a radio left on with soft music?

Or

:25:

Nah- Mrs. LL would probably get mad.....and you'd probably lose your World's Greatest Dad tag too.

Seriously though, do try the radio if you haven't already.

Feed the baby again right before bed time (with lots of milk).

If breast fed, consider formula supplement before bed. One of the few breastfeeding disadvantages is that the kid never get full enough to sleep through the night. Worked for me.

Take for a ride in X, kids sleep fast in car seat! Just kidding.

Time and patience may be the only cure. Usually they get over it.

In the future this will probably put a stop to it:

Work the night shift and I am sure the baby will start to sleep nights and be awake during the day. They are smarter than us adults.

That is really no joke! When I was young, somewhat older than a newborn, I remember our family going for rides at night. Cannot remember a single night that I arrived home awake.

I used a white noise machine to help my son fall alseep. He was sleeping all night long at 2 months. Now that he is seven he likes to get up before me and "make" breakfast for himself.

My show would definitely do the trick. :23:

Some relatives we babysit for have a small fan in the baby's room. Seems to have helped a lot, at least when we've been there.

Yet another 4:30 feeding. I'll try the radio at low volume near her crib.

Our 3-month old boy is on my lap right now, happy as can be, but the first two months were excruciating, especially nights. My wife does weeknights and I get weekend duty (like now).

Carrying him around the house in the car seat worked, and stroller rides up and down the hall helped our first son (another angry sleeper). Get on a regular sleep schedule, keeping them up longer in the daytime only seems to make nights worse because they're overtired. Hang in there another 2 months -- solid food does wonders.

I feel your pain. It's been 18 years since my oldest daughter was born, but I still remember the lack of sleep. She was only 4 pounds, and had to be fed every two hours. It took her nearly an hour to drink a couple of ounces. Only time helped.

I was thinking of this at 1:00 a.m. just the other morning as I waited for her to come home. :o
