Just bought an '07 late last week. When I test drove (a different X than I brought home) I listened for wind noise at ~80MPH and heard none.
This weekend my wife and I drove about 5 hours away for a wedding and I realized mine has quite a bit of wind noise (from the doors) at highway speed.
Just trying to gauge how much (if any) noise is normal at around 80MPH and if I should take it in to be addressed by the dealer.
Also, I can bit neurotic about my vehicles. And, I like to develop a relationship with the service managers. So, I don't want to be a pain/wrong right out of the gate.
Thanks,

I can't determine if mine has more or less wind noise than yours, but it's less than my 05, and quieter by a whole margin.
Maybe you should cultivate a taste for XM radio? Loud? |

My 07 is quieter than my recent vehicles (01 X, 95 Ody and 02 RL), if that helps. I didn't get to drive the test vehicle long enough to notice a difference in wind noise.
If the outside noise does bother me, I just turn up the DVD-A. |

Yeah, this is a tough one over the internet.
But, it sounds like both of you get "some" wind noise through the door seals.
Mine's certainly not bad... and it does disappear with the radio.
Basically, just wanted to make sure other owners didn't think it unusual to have wind noise at highway speeds. Sounds like it's not.
Thanks!!

| I do hear some wind noise w/ my X. I've brought it back to the dealer and of course they say it's normal. I'm not going to fight that one since I've got other problems I've got to deal with. |

| If you're not happy, take it back to the dealer. Nevermind being a pain, you just forked over a boatload of cash for that vehicle. The Service Manager is there to make you happy. He should be concerned about his early impression on you, not the other way around. |

I drove the car again last night. Wind noise started at ~40-45 MPH. So, I'll definately have it addresses with service.
Thanks again for the help.
