hi

Had a question, might be hard to describe , hope someone might know this

In my RDX broshure , on the Nav page , their are three small photos on the top. the one on the far right (call it photo #3), you can see a split screan view.

now, that split screan looking at the right side(of photo #3) you see what looks like a street with a fork in it, and a big arrow down one of the 'forks'.

Question:
Would the current MDX have EXACTLY this same looking feature? the way it's depicted?

I realize both do have split screan and would no doubt give a simular picture/message, but specificaly would it look exactly like the RDX photo?

Might seem trivial but it' kinda important to me and would appreciate any help if anyone knows i have the MDX broshures and few web sites but couldn't tell

thanks all

It sounds like they're similar, but it won't be possible to tell without a photo of your situation. If it's kinda important to you, you better go to an Acura dealer and play with the Navi on the MDX showroom car.

thanks but i am not so sure that the intersection sstuff would actually come up while parked ??

since i am unfam witht the car and all the electronics i'd hate to actually test drive 'the nav' on the road crash while fiddling

also maybe it would (mdx) have it but i just didn't encounter the 'right' intersection or what not i dunno kinda newbie at this

but i do appreciate your responding

The option screens (at least on the old ones) showed you the two display modes. You're going for a test ride, right? Tell the salesperson this is a big deal to you.

On the 07 MDX, you can set it to go to split-screen mode or not. The display you're describing seems to be when there's a fork in the road and the NAV is telling you to go one way, hence the arrow, e.g. when the interstate forks, or when you need to exit. If that's what you're describing, that option is available on the MDX. AFAIK, the RDX and MDX NAV are virtually identical.

hi

thanks for all the replies, i guess i should have been more specific i have poor writing skills

I realize that both systems can do split screen, and wasn't really refering to that ability.

very specifically what i was looking to determine is if the split disply for lack of a better term 'picture' of the RDX was exactly the same as MDX

a few people said 'virtually' identical but they didn't say how in this particular instance only

i'll prob end up taking a test drive of the mdx (if they have a nav tester) and try to run a few roads w/busy intersections see how it goes

the way the RDX split screan worked w/a almost photograpic depction of the road was really very nice

it sorta looked down the road view as like thru the windshield view almost 3d 'ish'

What i really need is a scanner, as i only have a hard copy of the rdx broshure

thanks again all
