Does anyone know of anyone who may be working on or has a hack for the display to shut off that annoying disclaimer on the NAVI system. It comes on when you turn on the car, you push the button to shut it off, but when you shift from reverse back into Drive it comes on again.
I don't need any smart remarks like "just push the button" so if that's the best you have, just save your comedy.
It's annoying to have to keep pushing that stupid button. |

The legal disclaimer always comes on when you first start the car. The screen just grays out if you don't use any of the NAV functions, but the backup camera will override it.
There is a hack for the old gen X posted in the acurazine forum. Like somebody else said, it's a matter of time before some computer whiz comes out with a hack. |

| the backup camera is kinda worth less cuz it doesn't show u where ur car is, cuz its a wide angle camera...i would've liked it much better if it had like lines on the screen showing u how close u are to something and where u tires are going....like on my uncle's QX56 |

I have to agree the back up camera leaves something to be desired on the MDX. The infinity has it right. You can back up the FX (35/45)without having to look at the mirrors or anything else, not so on the MDX.
As for the hack....bring it on....I really don't think the "they pushed the button so we're not liable for anything" defence is that great anyway, it's just annoying. |

Here is a thread in this forum that explains how to do it, however I dont know if anyone with an 07 X has tried it. ONe day when I have the time I may try this, but I dont even know what software version I have in mine.

That's not the way it works. You have to push the OK button once after you start the vehicle. You can back up a hundred times and still not have to push the OK button again.
It's possible that you pushed the button after the reverse camera came on. Try it again- if one push doesn't do it, you have a warranty repair. |

| Sometimes I have to push mine twice as well. I think that I am pushing it as it is changing to the camera view. It makes the little chirp, that acknowledges the button push... but when the camera goes off after I put the X in drive it still needs pressed again. A bit frustrating but I think it is just a timing issue (at least with me) |

| i noticed that if u just press audio or something then u do not have to worry about it. i like to see the audio menu on the navi screen so its not much of problem. if i press navi after i have pressed auto then it does not ask u to press ok. |

If you dont hit the OK button then you do not have access to certain features of the Navi system as it will grey out the options. Not sure which ones cause I usually hit it, but forgot a time or two and noticed the difference. |

| i also noticed something else. The rear camera take a bit to come on. like i get into the car and i put it in reverse and i'm going...but the camera takes about 5-10 seconds to turn on...by that time i'm already backed up and ready to go. |

| nav hack cannot be done on version 4+ of navi dvds except for picture. Info for pics can be found on acurazine in the TL or TSX section. As far as the OK button, it would require alot of reverse engineering to do, but one person did a "demo" version with his initails and wanted 50 bux for one witout them. The boards got over that, but you might want to search for his website, his username on acurazine was angrydad. |
