I come by way of Maxima.org, where I’ve been a member for the past 8-9 years. I have been lurking on this forum for the past 6 months or so and finally decided to join when I made my new purchase.
Beginning 3/31/07 I was working four dealers in my area against one another. By 4/4/07 I reached a deal that I felt was superior with one of them. So I made an appointment to go pick it up on 4/7/07 and from the moment I walked in the whole process was very smooth and comfortable.
I purchased a 2007 Acura MDX Sport/Tech/Ent in Billet Silver Metallic/Taupe and the below accessories with installation for $47,500.
- Music Link
- Sport Steps
- Body Side Molding
- Roof Rails
- Cross Bars
- Front Lower Garnish
- Rear Lower Garnish
- All-Season Mats
- Cargo Mat
- Cargo Tray
- Cargo Cover
- Day/Night Mirror
- Wheel Locks
Here is the breakdown. The invoice on the car was $43,326 plus the $670 and the internal cost including labor for the accessories was $2,994 for a total of $46,990, so they made $500 over invoice plus the hold back which I think was $1434. In my opinion this isn't too bad. When I drove it off the lot for the last time it had 21 miles on the odometer. |

Congratulations .. and welcome to the club! We have a great community here.
BTW, I've owned a Maxima for a long time (12 years) before purchasing my MDX three months ago. You'll love the X! |

Congrats!
The only regret you will have is wasting a few bucks on the music link. It is good for nothing except maybe charging your i-pod. I read about how crapy it was in this forum and called the dealer to tell them I didnt want it, even though I knew it was already installed. They said they would remove it but later called me back and said they will just leave it in and not charge me for it.
The aux input in the center console works much better so you can actually navigate through your music on the i-pod itself and see what you looking for. You can close the center console and have the i-pod outside of it as the cord (which you must buy for like $5 if you dont have one) is small enough to no intefere with the lid.
The music link is CRAP, as I am sure you will see if not already. I would call them on it and see if you can get some free service or something, anything for it. My dealer has since been telling people not to buy it as they didnt know anything about it when I bought mine.
Other than that, great choice & enjoy! |

Congratulations on your purchase!
I just joined the forum, but I haven't purchased my MDX yet. :) I've been getting quotes from dealers all over NJ. Seems like $500 over invoice is the best deal in these parts (I'm in NJ). |

Actually I haven't even used the Music Link yet as I've been enjoying XM. My previous car didn't have it.
Also, I know that

So when I get a moment I'll post some pics.

Which salesperson ? I worked with Alan Eden. Nice guy..but he kept saying "we've never sold it this low...you got a helluva deal" and I knew he was full of it.
Either way its home now and we're happy..

Congrats and welcome. I believe that if you have the RES then it is on the back of the center console. If not, then it is inside the center console.

Thanks. I'm in the process of selling my 2003 Maxima SE TE 59,110 miles and everything option including navigation. What a great car.
