| I dropped off my girls at school this morning and on my way home from their school this lady ran a stop sign and hit me on the side. My air bags did not deploy! She hit me so hard the had to pry her car out of mine. He side mirror still is embedded in the side of my car has anyone been through this? |

| Do you have side airbags? Front airbags shouldn't deploy in a side collision. |

Since it sounds like you're not in the hospital, I think your vehicle just saved your life. You owe it a beer or a decent junkyard, at least.

As Squishy said, the airbag sensors will deploy the bags in a front or rear collision. Since you apparently didn't smash your face into the steering wheel or through the windshield (whew!) the airbags weren't needed, and wouldn't have done anything. That's not uncommon in a pure T-bone crash.
Let me guess- you're still shaking, right? Now it's time for the insurance claim adjusters. |

I wrecked my 02' MDX this past winter, during a nasty ice storm. The rear end just broke loose suddenly (on a straight stretch, going slow), and I ended up going through a ditch, a barb wire fence, and almost slamming into a tree. Over 13K worth of damage at the end of it all, and took the body shop several tries over a couple months to get it back to "normal".
I expected that it would never be normal again, but really, the only gripe I have is that the rear hatch doesn't seem to close as easily or effortlessly as it should all the time. Which is strange, because it was not damaged (however, they did have to take it off when they painted). Other than that, it seems better than new :)
