Anyone else hear a slight "pop" when you crank the engine to start your MDX. It's not consistent, but is definitely there. Didn't notice it until about 1k miles. I thought it might be feedback on the audio, etc, so I made sure it was off, etc. when I started it (which I guess it could be in the speakers), but it sounds like it is coming from underneath the vehicle. It sounds "airy", as in the exhaust system.

Just wondering if anyone else notices this.

I have the same issue. I only noticed it recently and have the truck since December.

It happens about 1 in every 6 or so starts.

This has been discussed before... if you want to see the thread use the search button.

It happens on mine and it only does it when the steering wheel is moving between my setting and my wifes. Others say that the pop has nothing to do with the steering wheel changing location, but I know for a fact mine is. Mine has also done it from the start.

I had seen the other thread, and think I might have even posted, but since I disabled to steering adjustment for my key, that is not the issue for me.

I am not sure if the OP has his set to adjust or not and I still cannot figure out a pattern for the sound. It seems to happen more if I quickly release the key after starting since the car will continue to engage the starter motor electronically whereas holding the key seems to not cause the 'pop' for me.
