...the stock 07 wheel, as many have said, is simply too thin in diameter. Had the 'wood' one installed this week and it's a much better feel and look, in my humble opinion. The overall feel is superior, and thicker, so all is good...also added the door edge guards and body side moulding, as well as the dimming mirror...only thng left i guess is the front garnish (would do the back as well but understand one can;'t do it if one also wants the trailer hitch).
Now....if only there was a way to better organize the tray between the seats...i do miss the two level center console in my 03.... |

Congrats.
Did you DIY the switch of steering wheel? How long did it take you? |

Totally agree the stock wheel is to thin!! I had a chance to take the wifes car out and noticed this the entire time.
Cool.
How much was the install for the wheel? I see you can get them for about 400.00 oem.

Will rectify the lack of photo's in next couple days...I know, when i searched for pics before my purchase i could not find very many. The labor to install was $170, and purchased from Tim for $438. A bonus in my opinion is the perforated leather part of the wheel, nice feel and look.
The dealer wanted to include a wheel alignment as well with the wheel install...said a number of customers had experienced a slightly off kilter wheel after install. I declined, said wanted to insure that it wasn't straight, and sure enuf, wheel was fine. |

| I too think the stock steering wheel feels thin but I don't want to spend $500+ for a new one. Anybody have any suggestions for a high quality wrap? |

Don't forget the wood grain shift knob that goes as a match with your new steering wheel.

| I just had the wood grain steering wheel installed yesterday to compliment our wood grain shift knob. Overall the pricey wood steering wheel is worth every penny. It is thicker and more comfortable. I'm amazed Acura doesn't just include this in the fully loaded version. Actually I'm amazed Acura made the original steering wheel so skinny and thin. I bought my steering wheel off of ebay for $399 shipped. PM if you want the seller. It got to me in 2 days. The dealer here in Greensboro charged me $80 to put it in. That included the front toe alignment that the instructions said are required after installing it. Other wise I think I could have installed this accessory myself. |
