My 04 MDX is equipped with the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). I'm looking to replace the OEM wheels with a set of ASA 18" wheels.

I do not plan to order sensors on the new wheels.

Do I need to worry about not having sensors on the new wheels? Is the TPMS going to complain because there are no sensors on the wheels?

Thanks.

Why wouldn't you take the existing valves off your current rims and install them on your new rims therefore retaining the TPMS?

The dashboard warning system I'm sure will light up without them present. Maybe someone knows a way to override?

My warning light is on while my winter wheels are on the MDX. It is not that annoying.

I am in the same boat with my winter tires/wheels. And I don;t find the warning light annoying at all.
