I have a couple of customers in Taiwan that email me in Chinese, and it seems that I can't respond to them in Chinese. I also can't use the Russian language in email.
Do any AOL users know of a fix for this? |

Teach your customers English?
How can AOL e-mail tell what language you are using in the e-mail?
Have you called AOL and asked them about this problem?

Not yet, but I will. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here first to see if anyone here emails in Chinese with AOL. My friend Robert from another board would know in a heartbeat, but I haven't seen him around, I figured maybe this would catch Peter here, as he lives in Taiwan and would know also.
I don't mind international inquiries at all......part of doing good business is to be flexible :) |

Tim- I found this for chinese:
AOL email client can't send/receive Chinese Email, what can I do?
Please Use other email clients to send / receive AOL email as provided by AOL Open Mail Access
Or use AOL webmail
Incoming e-mail server address: imap.aol.com (IMAP Protocal)
Outgoing e-mail server address: smtp.aol.com (SMTP port 586)
Hope it helps.

Dear Tim:
I want to know who's your other customers in Taiwan.. so maybe can I ask them about how to import stuff from you.
As for the E-mail problem, there's a simple fix.
Just mail your Chinese mail as a word attachment with English name.
That way you can do any lang. you want.
BTW.. I didn't know you can write Chinese!?!?
Also, please do not tell others what my name is.
Thanks.
