| I'm getting those Er-1 codes on the CD player, consistently now. I called Acura Brampton - a new one is a grand, it will cost 400 to repair. It must be pulled out and sent to the dealer. Acura admits that this is a problem. Anybody experienced the same? Fix? |

There is a service bulletin about the cd player - if your problem is related to this bulletin I believe you should have a solid argument that it should be covered even if your car is out of its warranty.

Thanks
hmmm p...tsb should be /problems/tsb
Do a search on the nhtsa item number that barriokingpin provided using that link. Do this search under Service Bulletins/Search. The web app doesn't use query strings so you cannot link directly to it. |

I get this error once in awhile, especially if I use homemade CDs. It wasn't a problem with adhesive labels, but I think they are a different thickness than commercial CDs.
I found you can get the CD to eject by tapping the front of the player at just the right time, but I wouldn't recommend doing that on a new car... |

| I used to be able to get it to eject by banging on the side, now that doesn't work anymore. The problem has extended from home CDs to all CDs so things have definitely gone down hill. I'm taking it in for repair. It seems to be a known issue. |

I am getting an error on my CD player and I can't put in any CD's. I got them all out but can't put them in.
I took my MDX to the dealer this morning and it will cost over $400 to repair - they have do send it out.
I didn't leave my MDX there today. |

| Yup, that is the exact problem I am having and that was the dealer quote. I can't believe that this high end car has a pitiful CD player, don't even get me started on the bose paper cone subwoofers in the back. |

My husband is disappointed in the radio.
He can still get some Chicago stations when we are driving in Indiana and I lose them.
I know that when I first got my MDX (2002) they replaced the CD player. It wasn't working.
I'm just going to live without it for now. I don't want to spend $400 on that right now. |

| Wow 400!? Why not go aftermarket and invest the difference in something else? |
|

| I think we may do that. I haven't talked with my husband about it but for now, I guess I an live without the CD player. |
