Hi All,
I recently picked up a 2004 MDX from an Acura dealer and had both headlamps replaced because both were gathering moisture in them when it rained. Its been about 3 weeks since the lamps were replaced and I noticed the other day after a rainfall that the driver's side headlamp had moisture in it (and its still there, albeit less, 3 days afterwards). Should I take it back to the dealer for replacement again? Is this a common problem? Is there anything I can do myself?
Thanks |

| Yes, the headlight condensation is a known issue. It's a pain to have to remove the bumper to replace the headlight housings. I guess it's a matter of finding a particular set that doesn't condense. If your dealer wants to keep doing that, then you're in luck. |

| My 2002 always had condensation in the headlamps. I never really considered it much of an issue and ignored it. |

There are several prior threads on this issue.
As your dealer recognized the problem by replacing them once, it should be no problem to have him do it over until the problem is rectified.
Another, less time consuming solution that I did with '03 MDX is on a sunny dry day, remove both bulbs and take a hairdryer and pass hot heated air into each bulb hole.
Remember to keep the hair dryer several inches away from the bulb hole. Then alternate with using the hair dryer on the outside of the housing.
It took me about 20 minutes to dry out the housing. I then replaced the bulbs and the problem was solved.
