One more question while we're at it. Two trips to the dealer and they say nothing is wrong.
However, our MDX which appears to drive fine, exhibits a crunching noise when going over bumps with 6-7 adults in the car.
It only happens when heavily loaded and when there's enough of a bump, dip, road imperfection to create some travel.
The shocks seem a little on the soft side but two dealers said they're perfectly fine and cannot reproduce the noise. I asked them to put 7 techs in the car and go for a ride, but I don't think they're willing to do that.
I've searched this forum and it doesn't seem to be a problem.
It sounds like bushing crunch that you get on race cars that have polyurethane, superstiff bushings in cold weather. Before the bushings warm up, they make a crunchy/squishy noise. I used the have a Mazda MSP and it did it a lot. Here are some threads from what it sounds A LOT like:

For the MSP, it happens mostly when it's cold, I can't yet determine if that's the same case for the MDX.
Has anyone else read or experienced a similar problem with the X?
PS - I can hit bumps REALLY hard (like go on a washboard firetrail) and not have any problems (with 2-4 people in the car), but the minute I fill up the back seat with adults I hear the problem. |

| What year and how many miles are on your X? |

| I think you've already diagnosed your problem. 75K miles on the same bushings and they probably need replacing. It's possible that the struts are also going south, and letting the vehicle hit the stops when heaviliy loaded. There have been a few postings about elderly bushings, possibly in connection with the anti sway bars. |
