Just brought my 02 into Acura dealership with the "rumble strip" problem between 2nd and 3rd gear, thanks to this site I walked in armed with good info about the transmission problem. They checked it out, found it needed a new tranny, they called up Acura to see if they could help and then called me back with the good news. Covered 100% with a 12/12 warranty and an option to buy a 3/36 warranty for 300.00.
I think it helped that the previous owners did all the maintenance at Acura, had all the recalls done and I made it clear when I walked in that I know of the problems and expected them to pay.
I will get it back tomorrow, and then I will be putting it up for sale in hopes of moving into a 2003 or newer.
