Hello. I'm new here and just bought my first MDX (2002). One of the original key fobs is not working. I am assuming that it is the battery, but I'm not for sure.
Can I change the battery myself?
How do you get it open?
Will it need to be reprogrammed?
Can I program it myself? How?
If it is not the battery and the key fob is shot...can I buy one of these and program it myself?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS. |

:welcome: Jerka,
You can change the battery on this. Simply use a screwdriver to pry a part the halves of the fob along that center crease.
You may need to reprogram it after you switch batteries. you can do a search on here for "program fob" and you should get the instructions.
That remote from ebay would work as well (I have bought a couple myself), but you will need to reprogram all your remotes. Good luck. |

| Usually when the battery is going dead the range is drastically decreased. So if it's not working I would try to reprogram before you buy a battery, just a thought. |
