I am looking to display DVD video on the Navi screen. Apparently, a harness or box is not yet available for 07's. I was wondering if a secret menu exists that would let you play DVD video from the DVD changer. My E class Mercedes has it, by pressing a specific sequence of numbers on the phone keypad (which is integrated on the radio unit), you get an engineering menu, where you can play DVDs in the CD slot and enable video in motion, DVD Region, etc. I also remeber that the earlier Cadillac CTS also had a hidden menu enabling DVD in motion. Maybe somebody with acess to Acura mechanic may find out?

Why would ANY automobile company be so dumb as to provide for that capability? They would just be setting themselves up for some LARGE lawsuits.

Thats something you may want to ask Cadillac, Mercedes Benz or Lexus. There are hacks for all of them.

Cadillac:
Push & hold the musical note for at least 3 seconds to get to the "code" screen. Enter 1791 and hit ENTER. Now, if you remove your NAV DVD and insert a DVD movie, it'll play

Mercedes:Car turned off
Comand turned on and set to radio
Press 5 then press 3 and 7 at the same time.

I think dom from tv nav to go has the module mad eu p already to plugin 2 video sources onto the navi screen. I have it in my TL and it works great. I have had no issues so far. I f you hop o over to acurazine, they are having a group buy for about 125 shipped, which is a great deal.

I don't think that's been tested on a 2007 yet. Anybody care to try?

My local AV installer says they have a custom solution with the advantage of another camera for the front (overkill), and built-in TV tuner and small antenna. But it will cost me at least $1200 in parts and labor. I passed, for now.
