1. I think Acura needs to develop a 6-speed Auto. Their current 5-speed Auto just feels like its missing something and/or feels old. Other companies have 8 and 7 speeds already. Wouldn't a 6-speed auto also improve MPG because of the taller 6th gear?

2.The next thing i think Acura should do is add painted front and rear bumpers, when the Sport Package is ordered. I think the Sport Package needs to look different and more sporty then the base model. Adding a few hundred bucks to the trim level wouldn't be that bad.

Thats just my two cents...ideas anyone?

Agree, 6-speed would be nice.
Also, 3.7L feels a little coarse - needs a little polishing... (old 3.5 was smoother. Painted bumbers with aluminium garnishes should be standard on sport model.
Should I continue?.........

6 speed tranny needs to be on ALL models. Dont care about the bumpers as I kind of like them.

The number of gear ration in the transmission has no bearing on fuel economy. The sixth gear may or may not be "taller." What matters is the overall gear ratio as determined by the transmission and the differential.

For example, my wife's 2005 Cadillac DHS weighs approximately the same as my MDX. It has a larger engine, a 4.6liter NorthStar v-8, and has slightly more horsepower as per the advertisements. It also has a four speed transmission.

However, the Caddy gets about 5 or 6 mpg better than the MDX. Much of this can be attributed to the final drive ratios. Some of the difference is probably because of a more efficient engine.
