Hi all,
After lurking for awhile I figured I would post. My wife and I have a 2006 TL and we are seriously considering trading in our 2001 Honda Odyssey for a 2007 MDX. My wife wants to get the Dark Cherry Pearl exterior and we are thinking about the Ebony interior since we have a 4 and a half year old and the ebony wouldn't show too manny "issues". We have the parchment in the TL and we don't think it is too kid friendly. Is the cherry and ebony a decent color combo or is it something that you think is less than desireable? We have yet to see the combo but we love the cherry color. We just aren't sure about the ebony with it. Does anyone have pics they could post with this combo?
Thanks in advance. |

Color combinations are purely personal choices. If you like, go for it! Really does not matter what others think.

| I have the Dark Cherry but with parchment interior, and I love it. This color looks absolutely stunning after a hand wash/detail/wax. |

By HOT I hope you mean actually warm. I used to own an 04 TL Black/Black and it was literally the hotest car I've ever owned. Wish I would have gotten parchment in that car too. The only interior color I haven't like was the Camel color. |

Hot as in BEST TRADE INVESTMENT. Ebony holds its value WAY better than the parchment or Camel color !
Trust me ! Did you know that Acura's have the BEST AC systems? When its hot, its just hot, nothing works better than an air conditioned home! :1: |

| Dark Cherry/Ebony is an awesome combo; it's what I wanted but it wasn't in stock anywhere unless I ordered it. We settled on silver/ebony and have 6 and 4 y.o. rugrats, also upgraded from an Odyssey. Ebony holds up well, but you'll notice scuff and/or dust marks from their shoes on the plastic parts near the door frames and the backs of the front seats. I'd recommend running boards so your kid(s) can get in and out easier with less wear on the interior. |

I am picking up a Dark Cherry / Ebony in two days. My dealer had to locate it. I live in a very populated area with 5 dealerships within a half hour and they still are having to drive 120 miles to get one.
They even offered me $300 off the deal to take a Silver / Ebony since they had 3 on the lot. Being partial to red cars but getting a little old for a bright red car, I really liked this color. Red is one of those colors that looks good even if it is a bit dirty. The Nimbus Gray was my second choice.
I asked the sales person why they were hard to find. His response was that it is not a popular color so dealers order less of them. He said a lot of people express interest but end up going with something else. I believe him because a good salesperson will not typically say something negative about a purchase you are about to make.
I am fine with this since it means that mine may be a little more unique than the other ones. |

My prevoius X was Redrock Pearl, and was looking for a change away from the red familybut went with Cherry anyway.Whats unique about Dark Cherry is the way light plays on various surfaces.
I was leery of the ebony interior(old X had saddle) but believe the perforated leather in the Sport and dash trim liven up the interior. |

I love the dark cherry and parchment. It's great how the color of the vehicle is able to change with different levels of light.

Per my previous post, I have now picked mine up and had it for 4 sunny days. It is true what others have said, the color changes dramatically depending on how the light hits it. At times, it almost looks brown which I don't like. Other times it is a sparkly red which is nice.
I went for red because I always felt that they showed well when a little dirty. I don't find that to be as true with this shade because it is so dark. This isn't really a knock; most colors are not impressive when dirty. |

After 6 months, I am still very glad to have the ebony interior. I think I'm even more happy to have the rubber mats for the floor and especially for the bank...so easy to clean...I didn't expect to enjoy the "rubber", but it looks better than dirty carpet.
My first "order" was cherry/ebony but I chickened out not having seen one. I did get to see one in the dealer when I picked up my black and was impressed - just this week I've seen now two cherry's, one with sport rails, the other with side steps - both looked great. |

| I also got the all weather mats and cargo tray. Much nicer than aftermarket products I have gotten for other vehicles in the past. Just laid everything on top of the carpet mats and they haven't budged. |
