I am picking up my 07 mdx in 3 days. Since I wanted Dark Cherry it will need to located and brought in. I wanted to get an list of all the common problems with the 07 so that I could look for them in the test drive. I read all the messages in this forum and this is the list I came up with. If anyone knows of any other common problems from other forums please let me know.
1) ABS Check noise on startup (not a problem)
2) Clunking noise from the back (supension or loose items)
3) Tech package disc eject
4) Draining Battery (bad radio)
5) Pulls to right (not specific to 07)

Don't know if these are common problems, but this is what I have found in mine after 3 weeks.
Windshield washer does not work. wipers come on, but know cleaner. I checked and tank is full, plus the washer works in back window.
XM Radio cuts out for no apparent reason. Seems to happen at about 2100 rpms |

The XM satellites are over the Equator, and so are very low on your horizon. Even a low hill to your south will block the reception. Is this what's happening, or is it an electronic issue? |

| First, I personally do not think these are common problems. I do agree however with the XM. This signal is much weaker than regular FM or AM especially when we go thru a tunnel. Lastly, a serious common problem to Acura is their lack of customer service attitute toward buyers. |

Are you indicating that my original post did not describe common problems or that the responses to the post did not?
If it is my post, the issue is my use of the word "common". I did not mean to imply that these were widespread problems. Instead, I was trying to find all the problems that multiple people (2 or more) have in common. This gives me something to look for in a test drive.
As far as the customer service: are you referring to Acura corporate or a particular dealership? |
