I just got my 03 Black/Black Turing, and the only thing missing is XENON.
Now, I did conversion in 2002 on my 98 infinity i30 with standard reflectors and 6000K "K2" kit, and color output was perfect, LIGHT PURPLE. Same as 99-02 TL 3.2 or RL.
Now my question is: How many of you have it done in 2001-2003 stock reflectors and how close it to stock color? If it's close, what brand/model used?

How many of you done it with 04-06 stock projectors and how close it to stock(LIGHT PURPLE) color? If it's close, what brand/model used?

How many of you done it with 04-06 TSX or other projectors ?

Pictures are welcome.

I'm confused. The stock output is 4300k white. The purple you see on stock OEM come off the cut-offs on the lens...has nothing to do with the bulb color.

If you want stock looks, you need stocks lenses, and 4300k bulbs. 600k simply give you a blue bulb look. That is not OEM.

There is no point of comparison since 01 to 06 did not have "stock" xenons. If you're asking about color variance as a function of temperature, then as theseans pointed out, stick as close to 4300K as possible. Retrofitted bulb bases and adding true HID projectors or replacing with TSX ones as you pointed out will get you as close to "stock". I have 04 headlight assemblies with Polarion HIDs and they look great, never been flashed by oncoming traffic, though I've been flashed twice on my 07 that has OEM HIDs. Go figure.

Just reread this. The reflectors would need some color...that I get, so I guess your 6000-8000 would be great to get that look. Even 8000k would be an improvement over the original halogens I suspect.

With projectors, BlackMDX, the 04-06 lenses will give you a blueish cut-off with the 4300k's. Thats what mine looks like anyway. A further color mod would bring a little more purple out. Best way to replicate the stock blue/purple look however, is to probably get the TSX lenses with 4300k. Dj's Polarions would be a good bet.

Although probably superior, I wouldn't spend the money on the TSX lenses...the stock MDX projectors look great to me. Very subtle like the OEM, not riced-up at all.

OK.
Who knows, what other projectors, besides TSX, will fit 04-06 headlights?

You can make a lot of projectors "fit". But for a simple swap, I would think the TSX are probably the only ones. Considering the various mount points, lengths, widths, etc, I would think you would need to use a Stanley projector. TLs are bi-xenon so they are probably too big. Honda S2K could be a possibility. Check out hidplanet.com for possibly more info. Good luck.

OK, I've read a lot of threads and still couldn't find the answer.

Let's say that I don't care about cut-off color, cut-off focus and cut-off in general.
All I care as of now that IF i park my MDX
with stock 04 projector and 4300K hid kit and TL or TSX with OEM XENON, and if I look at them from the distance,
will the color of the lights will be the same (LIGHT PURPLE) on both cars???

Did anybody try to compare side-by-side?
Any pics?

Thank youl
