Looking for feedback on the time it took from when you placed your order to when your new MDX was delivered.
I ordered mine on April 06 and have not received a delivery date yet.

I would suggest take a flight to SF or LA ($100 ticket may be) & come pick your MDX here & drive back to Oregon. 07' MDX & RDX are not in big demand here. At least that's what I was told from various forum |

2 days ago I test drove a black/bordeaux Sport/Ent. package here at a mid-atlantic dealer. I liked the color combo but felt the bordeaux was a little confining. So we ended up negotiating on and buying a red cherry/parch. Sport/Ent. package for $43.5 including destination ($500 under invoice). They gave us the option of either the black/bordeaux or red cherry/parchment at the same price. I also negotiated 10% off accessories installed. We bought the sport running boards, fender garnish, and day night mirror. The total for the vehicle was $44.9k. I have a feeling the reason they went so low on the price of the MDX was because we bought the accessories and they had a bunch of MDX's.
With some leg work I think you should have no problem finding a similar deal at a larger dealer around the bigger west coast cities.

| I bought the exact same vehicle off the lot in Grand Rapids MI out of stock just this week. Black & Bordeaux... The interior color grows on you the more you see it. I didn't get a killer under invioce deal but around here dealers are sparse and some hold you for complete ransom on the price. They are out there... This dealer had 6-8 in stock... |

I suggest you try out the other dealers in Oregon. There are a couple near the Portland area. Would be a 45 minute drive for you if you're in Salem.
I got mine in one of the dealers here, they are quite ok to deal with. |

| To answer the original question, I ordered my Formal Black/Bordeaux and took delivery in 2 weeks. But that was back in November. |

| You would need to go to Portland ( 2 Acura dealers) or another State for any kind of selection as the total number of 2007 MDX's on the lot (as of today on the web) for Salem (3), Eugene (5), and Ashland (4) adds up to a grand total of 12. |

Thanks for the responses. I just heard from my dealer and the delivery date is June 17th. 2 days after I head to Europe for a two week trip. I guess they will have plenty of time to detail it and add the accessories I bought.
btw - I worked with Klaus at Valley Motors/Salem Acura and he is very good to work with. Valley Motors is also the local Mercedes dealer and he is their senior sales person. He has helped me in the past when I was looking at other cars but we were never able to make a deal as I selected other brands. (Infiniti, Jaguar and Porsche). He was very knowledgeable about the product. I research everything to the nth degree and he was able to keep up with me on my questions.
As for price, I don't like to mess around with a lengthy negotiation so I always go in with an Edmunds TMV price, which might be higher than some are paying in more competitive markets, but I'm supporting a local business and I feel good about the price. |
