This is what I was trying to post before. This past weekend I was at home depot and was unable to borrow my brother-in-law's truck so I was forced to test out the utility side of the X...as we all know how awesome the sporty side is!
Anyways, as you can see I was able to load up 12 bags of mulch and 12 forty pound bags of top soil and also threw some grass in there for good measure. :D
Not bad for a luxury SUV huh......I don't need no stinkin' truck.:2:
I was surprised how low the rear sagged though. |

| What happened the cops pulled you over because they saw what kind of mess you were making of your MDX? |

| hehe...he's my neighbor, believe me I didn't want to do it...but I got it all cleaned up with the shop vac. |

| I bet after all this hauling, your "fertilzer" should be able to wash all that "stinky" new car smell right off. And of course now replace with a wonderful fragance of nature. 8-) |

I am also surprised how low your rear end (the MDX that is) sank. I have carried more load than that in my 04 and had no where near that much sag.
Seventeen boxes of tile at 50+ lbs per box.

I did that kind of thing with my 2001 MDX but not this one, it's just too nice to ruin.
vietdude: Do you live on a one way street? If not, you need to tell your neighbor cop he is parked the wrong way. I hate it when people park against traffic like that. |

G
Did you load it over the 2nd row seats folded flat?
Moving the load more towards the rear causes the sag. This is why anytime I see a MDX driving with adults sitting in the 3rd row (under protest I'm sure), the rear end sags like crazy. |

I'd have thought it would have been riding a little higher with all that grass.
 |

No. It was loaded at the extreme rear for ease of leading and unloading.

Actually, I had the mulch over the folded 2nd seats lined with plastic garbage bags and G is right easier to load and unload.
What was surprising is grass is pretty heavy, I went to buy 8 more slabs of grass (this time put in giant garbage bag) and it took 2 people just to try to move it.
mesalum: I didn't want to mess up my X either but I had no choice, there wasn't any detrimental effects except for a little "earthly" smell that was gone after I aired her out.
Also be careful when u vac out the rear plastic part it scratches really easy.
Oh and I live on a 2-way street but i guess cops can do what ever they want.:D |

Talking about stacking..
On my 02' X, my records were:
1, whole set of Queen size beed (box and bed) with other home stuff(fan, microwave etc)
2, 12 big boxes of computer chairs. The workers at OfficeDepot keep telling me that it won't fit since the first 4 boxes, yet all 12 of them fit in, and still have the front 2 seats clear.
Gotta love the X's utility side!
